Sandra Maureen Fisher (6 May 1947 – 19 September 1994), was an American figure painter based in London and who was born in New York City.

1 juil. 2006 · An exhibition at New York Studio School showcases the paintings and portraits of Sandra Fisher (1947–94), who was married to R.B. Kitaj and influenced by other School of London artists. The review praises her style, spirit and role in the circle.
The exhibition also aspires to a rounded picture of Fisher (who died in 1994 at the age of 47) that acknowledges her role as a muse and catalyst through the inclusion of works by distinguished artist friends who painted her and were in turn the subjects of her portraits.
Sandra Fisher (1947–1994) was a fluent, colourful artist who painted in front of the subject and admired Delacroix, Monet and Matisse. She had a solo show at Lefevre Gallery and her work was used for the poster Days on the Water by London Transport.
