Reggie Torian (né le 22 avril 1975) est un athlète américain spécialiste du 110 m haies. Il obtient le meilleur résultat de sa carrière en 1999 lorsqu'il remporte la médaille d'argent du 60 m haies des Championnats du monde en salle de Maebashi , derrière le Britannique Colin Jackson .
Torian ran track and played football at the University of Wisconsin. In 2022 he was inducted into the UW Athletic Hall of Fame. Track and field career. Torian finished eighth at the 1998 World Cup and won a silver medal in 60 metres hurdles at the 1999 World Indoor Championships.
13 juil. 2022 · Torian was the NCAA champion in the 110-high hurdles in 1997, setting a national record (13.24 seconds) that stood for 16 years and still ranks No. 1 in the Big Ten. In all, he earned five All-America citations, amassed nine Big Ten individual titles and helped the Badgers to six league team titles (three indoor, three outdoor).
6 mai 2016 · Satin-voiced Chicago soul singer Reggie Torian, who stepped in to sing with The Impressions after the departure of Curtis Mayfield, has died. Mr. Torian, 65, died on Wednesday while rehearsing with another group, the Independents, for a Mother’s Day Show, according to his publicist, Lynn Orman Weiss.
As one of the world’s fastest hurdlers, won a silver medal in the 60-meter event at the 1999 World Indoor Championships. Competed in the 110-meter hurdles at the 1997 World Outdoor Championships and in the 1998 World Cup.
