Nightshade was the first licensed Doctor Who fiction written by actor-writer Mark Gatiss, who would write and appear in several of the independent spin-off productions before finding fame in the TV series The League of Gentlemen.
Nightshade is an original novel written by Mark Gatiss and based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It features the Seventh Doctor and Ace . A prelude to the novel, also penned by Gatiss, appeared in Doctor Who Magazine #190.
Sci-fi. Doctor Who. Nightshade was a British science fiction television series broadcast by the BBC from 1953 to 1958. The series starred Edmund Trevithick as the titular Professor Nightshade and was rebroadcast on BBC Two in December 1968, shortly before Trevithick's death in Crook Marsham.
