After signing in March 1997, the label re-issued Introducing Save Ferris. When radio stations in Southern California asked about a live recording of their cover version of Dexys Midnight Runners ' 1982 hit "Come On Eileen", the reception of it saw the band recording for their debut studio album.

1995–1996: Early years and Introducing Save Ferris EP The band came together after the dissolution of a number of Orange County, California bands. [2] With the band working together under their own “Starpool” label, they began to book shows around Southern California to a great underground response.

Ils sortent leur premier EP autoproduit "Introducing Save Ferris" sur leur propre label (Starpool). Les mélodies sont pleines d'entrain et de bonne humeur, le rythme est particulièrement rapide, quelques titres sont plus jazzys et swingants , les musiciens et la chanteuse sont remarquables.
24 mai 2024 · In 1996, the band won a Grammy showcase award for best unsigned band, and with Epic Records’ David Massey as one of the judges, Save Ferris would sign with the label. Epic re-released the Introducing Save Ferris EP and, in 1997, Save Ferris unleashed their debut album, It Means Everything.
