17 mars 2020 · Vaughn Stokes has been with Uncle Acid since 2015, playing bass on The Night Creeper tour and 2018’s Wasteland album before moving over to guitar and backing vocals for subsequent tours. EarthQuaker spoke to Vaughn about his music and gear.

Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats (written as Uncle Acid and the deadbeats or simply Uncle Acid) [3] are an English rock band, formed in Cambridge by Kevin Starrs. The band have released six albums – the most recent, Nell' Ora Blu, was released in May 2024 – as well as a number of singles.

12 oct. 2018 · What led to the live lineup shift of Vaughn Stokes to rhythm guitar? It’s like a football manager changing tactics mid game, moving players around, trying a different way to push forward. There was a little more time between The Night Creeper and Wasteland than previous records.
Later completed at Starrs’ own studio, the new songs showcase a newly refreshed line-up, with Starrs once again joined by long-time bassist Vaughn Stokes (who will play rhythm guitar at future live shows, handing over bass duties to Jus Smith) and also latest recruit, drummer Jon Rice.
7 sept. 2019 · Cette voix nasillarde, sensuelle et quasi féminine de K.R Starrs, les chœurs de Vaughn Stokes, qui offrent une belle mise en abime aux riffs dissonants et terrassant que proposent le groupe. Le son rend ici d’ailleurs totalement justice à la bande, tant il s’avère bon.
