Major Ronald Owen Lloyd Armstrong-Jones, MBE QC DL (né Jones; 18 May 1899 – 27 January 1966) was a British barrister and soldier. He was the father of Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon, and father-in-law of Princess Margaret, younger daughter of George VI.

Anne Parsons, Countess of Rosse (née Messel, previously Armstrong-Jones; 8 February 1902 – 3 July 1992), was an English socialite and one of the founders of The Victorian Society. She was the mother of Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon and Brendan Parsons, 7th Earl of Rosse.
Armstrong-Jones was born at Eaton Terrace in Belgravia, central London, the only son of the marriage of the Welsh barrister Ronald Armstrong-Jones (1899–1966) and his first wife, Anne Messel (later Countess of Rosse; 1902–1992). He was called "Tony" by his close relatives.

14 mai 2024 · She married the barrister Ronald Armstrong-Jones, but left him in 1934 for the 6th Earl of Rosse, becoming Countess of Rosse. Like her daughter-in-law, Princess Margaret, Anne was known for her sense of style and her love of jewellery. She was ‘so elegant’, says Margarita.
