5 avr. 2022 · Here are some basic comparisons I made between AGH (with abp.oisd and with dbl.oisd+mmotti filters) and Diversion on an Asus RT-AX86U with Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5_2. Methodology: I did a fresh install and update of the router (clean flash / reset to defaults after flash) and installed either Diversion or AGH.

Moves Diversion (and uiDivStats) tab (s) to end on LAN WebUI page for routers supporting VLANs (BE9x routers) after a reboot. Corrects screen scrolling issue introduced in firmware 386.14 on AC-x models. Thanks to @dave14305 for finding the simple fix.
27 sept. 2023 · Blocking ads using Adguard or Diversion (or PiHole for that matter) uses DNS style blocking. This kind of blocking does not work with most streaming sites as those sites serve their own ads so DNS based blocking will not work. RT-AX88U Pro on 3004.388.7.
7 juil. 2024 · Diversion is router optimized (but needs USB storage, lower overall system reliability if USB stick is used), Pi-hole is perhaps the most popular (the "original" ad-blocker with good support), AdGuard Home has perhaps the best UI (with DoT, DoH, DoQ, etc. DNS encryption options).
30 déc. 2023 · With dnsmasq 2.89 & Diversion 5.1.3 on some reboots devices that are filtered don't get a working DNS. Custom DNS devices work fine. All devices can connect to the router itself - so at least that's working. Before I had to push the power button, now I can do that in software.
