John Davison Rockefeller Junior, né le 29 janvier 1874 à Cleveland et mort le 11 mai 1960 à Tucson, est un financier et philanthrope américain, et un membre important de la famille Rockefeller.
John Davison Rockefeller Jr. (January 29, 1874 – May 11, 1960) was an American financier and philanthropist. Rockefeller was the fifth child and only son of Standard Oil co-founder John D. Rockefeller.
En 1927, trois ans après sa première donation, John D. Rockefeller Jr. propose une seconde fois son aide au gouvernement français, en offrant 40 millions de francs au patrimoine français, dont 23 millions pour le seul domaine de Versailles.
John Davison Rockefeller ne verra pas l'achèvement des travaux qui se prolongeront après sa mort en 1937. C'est en conséquence son fils et successeur, John Davison Rockefeller Junior (1874-1960) qui développe le projet entre 1929 et 1940.
