This 1996 studio cast album, the first “complete” recording of the show’s score, was recorded at Abbey Studios in London for TER Records. The cast includes Paige O’Hara, who played the lead in an Australian production, and Justino Diaz, who played Emile de Becque for the New York City Opera.

As Emile, Justino Diaz sings with richness but, faced with the climactic, epic lament ‘This Nearly Was Mine’, he simply cannot touch the focused passion of the original Ezio Pinza.
