R. xxxviii.), Terah, in addition to being an idolater himself, made and sold idols; and during his absence he compelled Abraham to act as a merchant for him.

Terah (în ebraică: תֶּרַח / תָּרַח, Modern Terah / Tarah Tiberian Terah / Tarah, "Ibex, capra sălbatică", sau "Hoinar") este o figură biblică din Cartea Genezei, fiul lui Nahor, fiul lui Serug și Tatăl Patriarhul Avraam, dar și al lui Nahor și Haran. 11 juil. 2022 · Terah died in Harran at the age of 205. Scripture doesn’t give exact details as to why Terah and his family made their home in Harran instead of traveling onward to their destination of Canaan. Perhaps grief caused Terah to stop the journey to the land of Canaan. Whatever the reason, God’s plan was in place for Terah to die in Harran.
