I then re-ran the installer as described in step 6 on the Epic page linked to above, which in my case is C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServices.msi and the installer ran successfully fixing the issue. Hope this helps someone.

On my windows11 installed hp Victus the epic games launcher opens for a split second to a blank application screen and then closes the launcher and I am unable to use the app, is there anything I can do to run it properly? 22 nov. 2019 · Created on November 22, 2019. Can't uninstall program from non-existent, removed, dead drive. Trying to reinstall Epic Games Launcher. Previously installed on 2nd HD (E:) which died. Unsurprisingly I can't uninstall it because the drive doesn't exist. I have gone through several other support pages with how to try and get around this.
After Closing This Error, Epic Games Launcher Opens Up Just Like Normal. I Tried Sfc /Scannow , Tried To Repair All Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables And Also Tried To Install DirectX Web Installer Again, Windows Is Full Updated To The Latest Version. This Problem Occured Today Morning, Without Any Reason. I Mean Everything Was Perfectly Fine Last Night.
22 sept. 2020 · OK, the only fix I can find is the following: 1. Go to the place where you've installed launcher (usually c:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\) 2. Find DirectXRedist folder. 3. inside there will be several .cab files (those are just simple archives) 4. go inside those .cab files and extract all .dll files.

In that case, right-click on the setup file > choose Properties > click on Compatibility on top of the window > click on the option Run this program as administrator > click Apply > click OK
