The CD brings back those songs from the "Nancy & Lee" record, plus a few added tracks. Their contrasting voices work well on "Sundown, Sundown" as well as country classics like "Jackson" and "Elusive Dreams." The Hazlewood-penned lyrics of "Some Velvet Morning", "Sand" and "Ladybird" are vague and alluring, drawing us into a magical world.
Nancy Sinatra was not the best female volcalist, but paired up with the raspy baratone voice of Lee Hazelwood really was a magical musical experience. Solid songs with excellent instrumental and vocal backups made this CD a joy to listen to again. This CD has a few more songs than the record, but thay fit in and add to the fun. Can be pricey because it is very hard to find. A trip back in time ...
