The first official outing of the new city of White Rock float took top honours on the Canada Day weekend parade at the Salmon Festival in Steveston. The float will be appearing throughout the summer at various community parades.
Police in White Rock say four people were hurt in a targeted shooting Wednesday night. It happened around midnight near Roper Avenue and Lee Street. Officers provided first aid, and then the four injured men were taken to hospital. A suspect in a vehicle fled the scene, and a vehicle on fire was found in Surrey shortly after.
