Brasenose College was founded in 1509 by Sir Richard Sutton, a Lawyer and William Smyth, Bishop of Lincoln. A Royal Charter, dated 1512, created the body of Principal and Fellows and established a College to be called 'The King's Hall and College of Brasenose'.
The College has recently launched a new Intranet - a dynamic, searchable, private online platform for College members filled with resources and information about all aspects of life at Brasenose. This is built for all members of our community – students and staff, Fellows and Lecturers, College members and associate members of Common Rooms.
