I recently watched through Paul Thomas Anderson’s entire filmography from beginning to end (short films and bizarre commercials included!) in preparation for Licorice Pizza , as well as immersing myself in his thought process through interviews and film commentaries.

13 avr. 2021 · So let’s rank his films from ‘least good’ to ‘best of the best’. 8. Hard Eight. Hard Eight is a solid directorial debut for a master director like Paul Thomas Anderson. Set up is good but it kind of side steps for too long in the middle and there’s not really much propulsion so it feels like quite a long 90 minutes.

17 juin 2021 · One of my favorite stories from the Paul Thomas Anderson lunatic years is when Phil Collins beat Aimee Mann for best song at the 2000 Oscars, PTA stood up and yelled "NOOOO!" as told by the South Park guys, who were also nominated for best song that year. posted by @JFrankensteiner.
