Andernach (German pronunciation: [ˈandɐˌnax]) is a town in the district of Mayen-Koblenz, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, of about 30,000 inhabitants.
Andernach has been an important town since the Romans were here more than 2.000 years ago. It boasts the highest cold water geyser in the world and has recently pioneered a revolutionary project in the use of its green areas, known as “Essbare Stadt” – the edible town.
