Ja Rule, de son vrai nom Jeffrey Atkins, né le 29 février 1976 à New York, est un rappeur américain. Il est devenu le porte-étendard du label The Inc. Records (anciennement Murder Inc). Atkins se lance dans la musique en 1999 avec Venni Vetti Vecci et son single Holla Holla.

R.U.L.E. is the sixth studio album by American rapper Ja Rule; it was released on November 9, 2004, by The Inc. and Island Def Jam Music Group. The album debuted at number 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 165,000 units in its opening week. The album was certified Gold and sold over 658,000 copies in the United States.
"Put It On Me" was the second single from Ja Rule's sophomore studio album, Rule 3:36 (2000), released in December 2000 through Def Jam Records and Murder Inc. The song appeared on The Fast and the Furious (2001) soundtrack and was included on the special edition of Ja Rule's Pain Is Love (2001).
