The 555 seat, double deck Airbus A380 is the world's largest airliner, easily eclipsing Boeing's 747. The A380 base model is the 555 seat A380-800 (launch customer Emirates). Potential future models include the 590 ton MTOW 10,410km (5620nm) A380-800F freighter, able to carry a 150 tonne payload, and the stretched, 656 seat, A380-900.
30 juin 2005 · Naah, I don´t support this. IIRC the "U" in BUFF is for "ugly" and the A380 may not be the most beautiful a/c but in my eyes it isn´t really ugly either. The name should be unique. So nothing with "Jumbo" in it ... While AIRBOSS would be nice, I think it is a little bit too similar to AIRBUS when it comes to pronounciation ...

17 févr. 2017 · Back in the day, Capts on our 747-200s would make a reasonableness check on the flight plan as part of his pre-flight. The standard number was 25,000 lbs per hour. So a 10 flight would burn approximately 250,000 lbs of fuel. Although you don't show a 200, your 747-300 number of 11,300 kg/hr (24,912 lbs/hr) is right on.

The A380 is the first aircraft to use the technology for small sections, under 5 sq mm. and for the connections. There are about 100,000 electrical links on the A380 compared with 60,000 on the A340. The challenge was protection against corrosion. The new wires are made of nickel-plated, copper-clad aluminum strands.

The main reason that the A380 will be able to operate out of DTW is the following: Diamler-Chrysler has its US headquarters in Detroit. Daimler-Chrysler is a 30% owner of EADS which is an 80% owner of Airbus, maker of the A380.
26 nov. 2004 · However, this is one of many reasons why most airports (like ORD) can't handle the A380. The taxiways aren't configured correctly. ORD had this problem with the A346 as well. Does this mean that the A380 can use any taxiway the A346 can use since the A346 is longer than the A380 (At least as it comes to intersection radius)? A350
