Welcome to the United States Army War College resident class of 2025. Your academic journey to Military Education Level I, a master's degree in strategic studies, and Joint Professional Military Education - Level II certification is guided by the Army War College's School of Strategic Landpower.
The Distance Education Program (DEP) at the US Army War College allows you to participate in a two-year, high-quality program of instruction that results in the award of the same Military Education Level and the same fully-accredited Master of Strategic Studies degree awarded to graduates of the USAWC resident program.
This course is a four-month online Distance Education program boarded by Army Human Resources Command offered twice each year. Regular Army (RA), Army Reserve (USAR), and Army National Guard (ANG) boards select fifty RA, twenty-five USAR, and twenty-five ANG officers for each course.
