15 oct. 2010 · Betty Ann Waters, a Rhode Island bar owner, became a lawyer and spent 18 years trying to prove her brother Kenny Waters was wrongfully convicted of murder. She succeeded with DNA testing and the Innocence Project, but Kenny died six months later.
Kenneth Waters was wrongfully convicted of rape in 1983 based on false testimony and lack of evidence. He was freed in 2001 with the help of his sister Betty Anne and the Innocence Project. A film about his case is in production.
