Birdland ou The Jazz Corner of the World (le monde de Bird, Charlie Parker, ou l'intersection mondiale du jazz, en anglais) est un club de jazz emblématique de Manhattan à New York, fondé en 1949. Il est baptisé du nom de Bird, surnom du saxophoniste de jazz Charlie Parker (1920-1955).
Birdland est une composition instrumentale de Joe Zawinul, claviériste du groupe américain de jazz fusion Weather Report, qui a été jouée pour la première fois sur l'album Heavy Weather en 1977. Ce morceau de jazz fusion rencontre un succès commercial inhabituel, et devient un standard de jazz.
Birdland is a jazz club started in New York City on December 15, 1949. The original Birdland, which was located at 1678 Broadway, just north of West 52nd Street in Manhattan, was closed in 1965 due to increased rents, but it re-opened for one night in 1979.

Birdland, the club named in honor of Charlie “Bird” Parker, had opened on Dec. 15, 1949, a block west of the 52nd St. scene and for the next fifteen years, the club’s survival formula was built upon memorable double and triple bills, commencing at 9 p.m. and sometimes lasting ’til dawn.
