The title Tales of Suspense was used again for two final episodes of the first season of the Marvel Animation TV series Iron Man: Armored Adventures. Yinsen's name is similar to that of a pulp villain of the 1930's named Dr. Yen Sin, who appeared in his own short-lived magazine.

Tales of Suspense is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics from 1959-1968. Although it started out as a science fiction/horror anthology, the emerging popularity of Super Heroes led to such characters being featured regularly, eventually pushing out the non-Super Hero suspense stories.
