Susan Brownell Anthony, née le 15 février 1820 et morte le 13 mars 1906 est une militante américaine des droits civiques, qui a notamment joué un rôle central dans la lutte pour le suffrage des femmes aux États-Unis qui a abouti en 1920 à l'adoption du dix-neuvième amendement de la Constitution américaine, donnant le droit de vote aux femmes.
Susan B. Anthony (born Susan Anthony; February 15, 1820 – March 13, 1906) was an American social reformer and women's rights activist who played a pivotal role in the women's suffrage movement. Born into a Quaker family committed to social equality, she collected anti-slavery petitions at the age of 17.
Champion of temperance, abolition, the rights of labor, and equal pay for equal work, Susan Brownell Anthony became one of the most visible leaders of the women’s suffrage movement. Along with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, she traveled around the country delivering speeches in favor of women's suffrage.
