  5. Adrian Zingg. (1734 St. Gallen – 1816 Leipzig) In 1759, having completed his apprenticeship in his native Switzerland, Adrian Zingg moved to Paris, where he was to live and work until 1766. Here he made the lasting acquaintance of Johann Georg Wille, who was a generation older than himself.

  6. Born April 15th, 1734 in St. Gallen and died May 26th, 1816 in Leipzig, Adrian Zingg was first trained by his father, then by Berlin veduta painter, Alberli, and later in Paris. In 1766 he was appointed as court copper engraver for the Saxon prince elector and became a teacher at the Dresden Art Academy.
