Shocking Blue est un groupe rock néerlandais rendu célèbre entre autres par la chanson Venus en 1969, reprise en 1986 par le groupe anglais Bananarama avec autant de succès. Formé à La Haye (Pays-Bas) en 1967 par Robbie van Leeuwen (ex-The Motions, compositions, guitare), Fred De Wilde (chant), Klaasje van der Wal (basse) et Cornelius van der Beek (batterie), Shocking Blue connaît un premier hit local l'année suivante avec « Lucy Brown Is Back In Town ».
