John Cody Carpenter (born May 7, 1984) is an American musician and composer. He is the son of film director John Carpenter and actress Adrienne Barbeau. Carpenter is mostly known for his work with his godfather and musician Daniel Davies, as well as his various solo projects.
Cody Carpenter is a third-generation musician and the son of director and composer John Carpenter. He has composed and performed music for several of his father's films, including the Halloween series, and won seven awards.

Cody Carpenter was introduced to his first musical instrument at age of three and has been playing and composing original music since. His most notable early composing works include Cigarette Burns and Pro-Life in Showtime's Masters of Horror (2005) movie series.
