Barbara Ruick (December 23, 1932 [citation needed] – March 3, 1974) was an American actress and singer. Early years [ edit ] Ruick was the daughter of actors Lurene Tuttle and Melville Ruick , [2] and grew up acting out scenes with dolls, employing her mother as an audience.
Tuttle married Melville Ruick, an actor whom she had met during her radio years; the couple had a daughter, Barbara (1930-1974), who was married to film composer John Williams. Tuttle and Ruick eventually divorced.
