The American Conservatory Theater (ACT) is a nonprofit theater company in San Francisco, California, United States, that offers both classical and contemporary theater productions. It also has an attached acting school.
It includes two new musicals, both with deep roots in the Bay; a classic comedy that remains an inspiration for any marriage story on the stage or screen; a contemporary comedy that gave rise to a hit tv show; a new adaptation of A Christmas Carol; and back to A.C.T.’s foundational DNA with The Acting Company performing two plays in repertory.
