In 2014, Jones left the Contours with Joe Billingslea and was replaced by Lyall Hoggart. In late 2014, Potts' group made its last performance. In 2015, Dwjuan Brock replaced Charles Davis. Also in 2015, the Contours were inducted into the R&B Hall of Fame.
3 août 2020 · In 2016, Odell Jones returned, replacing Lyall Hoggart. THE CONTOURS have made two appearances on the PBS Specials, "Rock, Rhythm & Doo-Wop" and "Motown: The Early Years."
The Contours--they took their name from a recording studio they once visited, Flick and Contour Records--consisted of Billy Gordon, Billy Hoggs, Joe Billingslea, Hubert Johnson and Sylvester Potts, and they almost didn't get to record their signature song at all.
Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance) is the only album issued by The Contours during their recording career at Motown Records. Issued on Motown's Gordy subsidiary in October 1962 (see 1962 in music ), the album includes the hit title track and the number 21 R&B hit single "Shake Sherry".
