Frank Lenord Clayman Cook (January 6, 1942 – July 9, 2021) was an American drummer and member of blues bands Canned Heat, Pacific Gas & Electric and Bluesberry Jam. For a time he was also the manager of Pacific Gas & Electric.
After the Denver incident, Frank Cook was replaced with Adolfo de la Parra, who had been playing the drums in Bluesberry Jam (the band which evolved into Pacific Gas & Electric). As an official member of Canned Heat, de la Parra played his first gig on December 1, 1967, sharing top billing with the Doors at the Long Beach Auditorium. [11]

Canned Heat enregistre une première démo de 7 minutes en avril 1967 aux studios Chess RCA de Chicago avec le batteur original du groupe Frank Cook. La première version enregistrée pour l’album, dure 4’55’. une seconde version de 3’33” été faite pour être diffusée sur les radios où il manque des solos d’harmonica et de guitare.
