The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts (drama school), also known as Italia Conti Arts Centre, and formerly known as the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, is a conservatoire-style drama school based in Woking, England. It was founded by the actress Italia Conti in 1911.
BA (Hons) Acting, at Italia Conti, is a three-year, full-time vocational course, for anyone aged 18+ wishing to become a professional actor working across Stage, Screen, and Audio in live and recorded contexts. The course is validated by University of East London (UEL).
The Italia Conti school grew from the actress Italia Conti’s success in providing the first recorded formal training to a group of children cast in the West End show Where the Rainbow Ends produced at the Savoy Theatre in 1911 by Charles Hawtrey.
The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts is the world's oldest theatre arts training school. It grew out of the first production of the play that was to become a children's classic "Where The Rainbow Ends".
