8 janv. 2020 · Marcus Hutson. (b. January 8 th, 1943). Vocalist who came to prominence as a forming member of American soul and R&B group, The Whispers. The Whispers are an American group from Los Angeles, California, who have scored hit records since the late 1960s.
Marcus Hutson left the group in 1992 due to prostate cancer. According to the Whispers' website, when Hutson died of it on May 23, 2000, they vowed to never replace him, and started performing as a quartet.

26 déc. 2021 · Marcus Hutson, one of the original members of the group died on December 9, 2000, of prostate cancer at the age of 57. Two years later the group received the NAACP Image Award and the following year (2002) they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

Then with the passing of Nicholas Caldwell and Marcus Hutson, they have continued to thrive with the trio of Wallace "Scotty" Scott, Walter Scott and Leaveil Degree. They have 33 top ten hits, over 40 charted singles, and 20 multiple gold and platinum albums.
