Peter Christopherson est un des membres fondateurs de Throbbing Gristle, groupe inventeur de la musique industrielle. Il participe par la suite à la formation de Psychic TV avec Geoffrey Rushton, plus connu comme John Balance, puis fonde un nouveau groupe, Coil, toujours avec Balance.

Peter Martin Christopherson (also known as Sleazy, 27 February 1955 – 25 November 2010) was an English musician, video director, commercial artist, designer and photographer, and former member of British design agency Hipgnosis. He also co-founded the Industrial Records band Throbbing Gristle (TG).
Avant de mener la carrière de musicien qu’on lui connaît, Peter Christopherson vivait de son talent de designer et de réalisateur. Il avait d’ailleurs intégré la non moins prestigieuse agence Hipgnosis, se rendant responsable de nombreuses pochettes d’albums, et notamment celle de Pink Floyd.
Peter Christopherson (1955-2010) was born in Leeds into what he described as a "large academic family": his father, Derman, was a professor of engineering who later became master of Magdalene College, Cambridge, and received a knighthood.
