Andy's name is a reference to the actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, who have both portrayed Spider-Man in film, in the reboot and original trilogy, respectively. If Andy were a fruit, he would be "one of those prickly pears".
Andy Maguire is a banking expert and the chair of Thought Machine, a company that provides a modern core banking system for incumbent and neobanks. He also leads the global banking practice at Boston Consulting Group and was the COO of HSBC.

Former HSBC Chief Operations Officer, Andy Maguire, is to take the helm as Napier’s Board Chair. Andy has been working with Napier in an advisory role since February of this year and is now elected to preside over the Board in full as the company moves into a new phase of growth.
