Silverthorn Collegiate Institute is a public high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the neighbourhood of Markland Wood in the former suburb of Etobicoke. It is under the sanction of the Toronto District School Board (the successor to the former Etobicoke Board of Education ).
Silverthorn’s colours are garnet, green, and silver and our mascot is Spartacus the Spartan. The school’s motto is “Nil Veretur Veritas” which is Latin for “The Truth Fears Nothing”. Silverthorn Collegiate is proud to be serving the Markland Wood Community and the surrounding area.

Our proud Silverthorn intercollegiate athletic teams include: Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Badminton, Cross-Country, Track and Field, Tennis, Golf, Ultimate Frisbee, and Skiing.
There are many ways for students to explore their strengths. We have championship teams and we add new teams in non traditional sports annually. We have a daily intramural program so students can use sports for recreation and for competition. We have clubs like debating and model United Nations.
