Ty Taylor (born January 5, 1969, in Montclair, New Jersey) is an American musician best known for being the lead singer of Los Angeles soul rock band Vintage Trouble. He is the voice of character Lester Grimes on the HBO series Vinyl created by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger. [1]

BIO. Ty (Tyrone) Taylor began singing at age five at St. Paul's Baptist Church in Montclair, New Jersey. His Cherub Choir solo in This Little Light Of Mine became an internal anthem of how he has navigated his life ever since.
Ty Taylor (vocals) and Nalle Colt (guitar) formed Vintage Trouble after setting up a basic home studio in Venice Beach. They invited their mutual friend Rick Barrio Dill to play bass for the band, and then recruited Richard Danielson to play drums. "We got together in 2010", Taylor told Billboard.

The band realised it was a test: “Are we going to keep talking to him because he’s telling this joke, or do we leave him because we’ve got to get on stage?” says Taylor.
