  1. 21 nov. 2021 · I would definitely not get Rosetta Stone. I had it for Chinese, Japanese and Spanish (a very long time ago). And even though they updated a lot of things, it’s not worth the money. Maybe try utilizing other language apps like duo-lingo, lingodeer (if you’re learning an Asian language) or Memrise.

  2. 22 avr. 2024 · Rosetta Stone is like Kmart. It was really cool back in the 80's/90's, before Walmart was a thing. And nowadays it's just in a downward spiral of clinging on to the past, and being really expensive, and not really innovating much. But some people like it. I shopped at the Kmart by my house too, until it went out of business.

  3. 13 sept. 2022 · Rosetta Stone is wbere I started almost a year ago, and right from the jump I could tell how awful it was. No matter the category you choose for your "learning", it's all the same. Nothing changes per category from my experience. They do NOT teach you any basics, or even the script (Katakana or even Hiragana). You are seeing scribbles that you ...

  4. 17 sept. 2021 · I really don’t understand why Rosetta Stone is so terrible. Things like bad voice recognition are hard to fix, maybe. But that is not the worst part about RS. Many of the exercises are all or nothing, so you get asked 30 questions and if the voice recognition fails on just one of them then you need to start over. So frustrating!! It would be ...

  5. I would also put Busuu above Babbel and Rosetta Stone. DuoLingo seems more complete and has far more material. I also like it’s method. It works well in small chunks but can go much longer if you desire. I would also add some grammar course like either Paul Noble and Language Transfer if available. Also add more speaking and listening practice.

  6. 24 juil. 2016 · How to Finish Rosetta Stone Without Doing any Work. Hi, I'm "learning" Spanish from Rosetta Stone and I'm behind because of many reasons. The voice recognition doesn't work, making me skip questions and come back later (this happens with a very nice microphone, and it happens to my friends too), the connection is dropped very frequently during ...

  7. 2 nov. 2017 · I was given Rosetta Stone with which to learn English. I can honestly say that in the sea of sources that influenced my language learning, Rosetta Stone is a simple basis to start from at best and a forgettable first step at worst. The bulk of my English learning came from consuming media and translating words to get a better understanding (the ...

  8. 24 août 2012 · Instead of Rosetta Stone, I'd recommend livemocha.com, which is free(*), and nearly identical to the version of Rosetta Stone that I bought many years ago. (Rosetta Stone probably has evolved since then.) I view Rosetta Stone and livemocha.com both as training supplements, not as primary educational resources. But all means, take advantage of ...

  9. 26 mai 2020 · I tried Rosetta Stone recently myself when they allowed you to sign up for 3 months free, and it was *alright* as a *review* tool, but would have been horribly ineffective for trying to actually learn (which can be seen in that user's post) and also, I naturally abandoned it in favor of other resources that are a much better use of my time. I think that's where the negativity comes from ...

  10. 30 oct. 2023 · Rosetta Stone Lifetime for 149 USD: Worth it? I have the option to get an unlimited lifetime subscription to Rosetta Stone for $149, and I'm hoping to get some feedback on whether that's something worth doing. Per my flair, I'm at an A1-ish level of French, which I've gotten to mostly through Duolingo. Now that I'm able to put together basic ...
