Of course other public housing high rises met a similar fate (Cabrini-Green, Robert Taylor, etc), but the speed with which Pruitt-Igoe declined seems exceptional. And it was designed by Minoru Yamasaki, who witnessed the degradation and ultimate demolition of his design.
2 juil. 2024 · People see Towne’s name on Chinatown and assume the writing credit is clean. Far from it. Towne had this grand story of the movie being about how the old Los Angeles was being destroyed by the new. He wrote that story to some extent but his friend Edward Taylor wrote at least half of the screenplay — certainly more than Towne did.

Regarding the Stanwyck-Wagner supposed affair, she sure had her fill of men with questionable sexual natures with Robert Taylor.

I can't stand Kirk Douglas, but think it's likelier that she had a botched abortion resulting in her death, and was hastily buried in a shallow grave. That said, I don't think Kirk exactly shed a lot of tears when she disappeared.

19 août 2024 · But "the most handsome man" for the general public is sometimes a very handsome man who is also very masculine and not pretty. Sometimes all it takes is age - the age will knock the pretty off a beautiful man's face and he becomes handsome. JFK Jr is a great example of a really handsome man who was never a pretty man.
