His stylized choices, such as Debbie’s movements and wardrobe—conveying both confidence and vulnerability—add layers to the otherwise flat script. Phil, embodying a casual left-leaning intellectualism, is well-portrayed but similarly underdeveloped.

No topic is lingered on for too long, with each change of subject signposted by the fifth character in this play and son of the secular couple, Trevor.
