The Central Union High School District (CUHSD) is the district of the 3 high schools in El Centro, California — Central Union High School (CUHS), Southwest High School (SHS), and Desert Oasis High School (DOHS). The CUHSD main office and boardroom are located adjacent to DOHS.
We currently serve 4100 high school students in 5 high schools and over 1500 adults in our Adult School. Our roots go back to the early days of the Imperial Valley with the first school being established in 1908, our District namesake, Central Union High School.

Central High School, also known as High School of Columbus and High School of Commerce, was a four-year secondary school (grades 9–12) located in Franklinton, Columbus, Ohio. It was a part of Columbus City Schools (at the time Columbus Public Schools).
The best part, apprentices graduate debt-free and gain a high-demand skill that offers a life time of job security, good wages and benefits. All IBEW Local Unions offer apprenticeships. Training is provided at Electrical Training Centers located throughout GREATER Central Ohio and North America.
