Before Midnight est un film américain réalisé par Richard Linklater et sorti en 2013. Il s'agit de la suite de Before Sunrise (1995) et de Before Sunset (2004). Comme les deux films précédents, celui-ci est écrit par le réalisateur et les deux acteurs principaux Julie Delpy et Ethan Hawke .

Julie Delpy est la fille unique d' Albert Delpy et de Marie Pillet, tous deux acteurs de théâtre. Elle fait ses études artistiques à la Tisch School of the Arts à l' université de New York ainsi qu'à l' Actors Studio dans les années 1980 . C'est dans Détective de Jean-Luc Godard ( 1985) qu'elle débute au cinéma à 16 ans.

Delpy with frequent co-star Ethan Hawke in 2013 In 2011 she wrote and directed Le Skylab, which received a theatrical release in France but failed to find distribution in the U.S. In 2012 she released 2 Days in New York , a sequel to her 2007 film 2 Days in Paris, starring Delpy and actor Chris Rock in a role she said she wrote specifically for him.
