2 juin 2020 · The Spy in the Green Hat was edited together from the two-part episode The Concrete Overcoat Affair (1966). The new title is an oddity – Will Kuluva (who also played the original Mr Waverly in the series’ pilot that was released to theatres as To Trap a Spy ) does eventually turn up near the end as a T.H.R.U.S.H. high-up who wears a green hat.
"Spy in the Green Hat, The (1966)" on the other hand, is both exciting AND funny. Especially the scene where Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) hides from THRUSH agents under a young woman's (the incredibly cute Letícia Román) bed and is caught by the woman's grandmother (Penny Santon), who is forcing Solo to marry the young woman.
T.H.R.U.S.H. with the help of Doctor von Kronen, a Nazi scientist, has a plan to divert the Gulf Stream, turning Greenland from a barren wasteland into a lush island for their new Headquarters. The men from U.N.C.L.E. Napoleon Solo and Ilyia Kuryakin are sent to stop them.
