With BALLS TO THE WALL Penelope Spheeris trying to re-capture her 90s comedy glory (despite being personally very dismssive of that period herself) to very middling results. Without a talented cast of comedic actors (minus Christopher McDonald) the film definitely struggles to stay afloat despite a pretty solid story. Most definitely a cash grab over a genuine creative endeavour.
