  3. MCCANICK is a dark, unsettling film that's largely filled with by-the-numbers morally challenged cop movie cliches. Yet it was a few saving graces - MCCANICK boasts a strong turn in producer-star Morse, a startling twist you only truly suspect just before it occurs, some tightly lensed claustrophobic cinematography, & a really great score.

Hélas le scénario ne sauve pas la réalisation somme toute assez banale et très inspirée de mauvaises séries.

  7. "McCanick" isn't a bad film, but it is flawed. Primarily, the plot gets a little confusing and takes a bad turn. Imagine "Training Day" with a white protagonist who is a little more sympathetic but ultimately doomed. You may like McCanick, but the character has several bad characteristics that pull at arm's length. He emerges as a villain in ...
