8 févr. 2018 · With PyeongChang’s strategic position in Asia, and its access to a young and fast growing youth market, the 2018 Olympic Winter Games exposed new generations of potential athletes to the power of winter sport.
Pyeongchang was elected as the host city for the 2018 Winter Games at the 123rd IOC Session in Durban, South Africa in July 2011. This marked the second time that South Korea had hosted the Olympic Games (having previously hosted the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul), as well as the first time it hosted the Winter Olympics.

Les Jeux olympiques d'hiver de 2018, officiellement appelés les XXIII es Jeux olympiques d'hiver, se sont déroulés du 9 février au 25 février à PyeongChang en Corée du Sud, ville qui a été élue le 6 juillet 2011, à Durban en Afrique du Sud lors de la 123 e session du Comité international olympique.
10 août 2011 · Team Canada made history more than once at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang. Not only were the 225 athletes the most Canada has ever sent to a Winter Games, but the 29 medals they brought home were also a national winter record.
