That didn't work for me (unfortunately), but going through the Playstation Store on the PS4 to make the purchase did! Just wanted to mention for others to also try this out. TL;DR: The mobile/desktop app may fail, but trying to purchase via the PS4 may not.

30 août 2021 · Now the strange part is, i haven't owned a Playstation since Playstation 2. I certainly didn't have the email address I'm getting the emails in during that time. And seeing how online gaming was in it's infancy with the PS2 I'm certain i didn't have a PSN account. So I'm thinking some sort of phishing scam.

You know it's funny is today PlayStation support was supposed to be open but funny thing is they're closed on Mondays and on top of it you can't get a refund through the support page honestly I'm not surprised that microsoft/xbox is actually doing better than PlayStation is. slightly over 30 days ago I contacted the support of playstation and got them to delete my PSN account. I then got an e-mail confirming my request and I was told that it would take 30 days until the deletion progress would be complete. Fast forward 31 days and I tried to create a new account with said e-mail. It says that it is still connected to a playstation account... Did anyone do the same ...

To anybody else: Stop "answering" questions that you truly don't know the goddamn answers to. You do nothing but waste somebody's time with that nonsense. you could like 5ish months ago but you can anymore.
I'm having this issue as well, can't log into PS Remote Play or through Playstation's website itself on my PC, yet I can log in on my phone and my connection on PS5 is working just fine.
