I then re-ran the installer as described in step 6 on the Epic page linked to above, which in my case is C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServices.msi and the installer ran successfully fixing the issue. Hope this helps someone.

21 déc. 2022 · Hello William, if it is open in Windows and you cannot close it, do the Ctrl+Alt+Del command on your keyboard and then click on Task Manager. Task Manager - Clicking or tapping on Task Manager opens the Windows tool bearing the same name, after that find the Epic App and click close. And to unistall a App, follow the procedures below.
