Le Transvaal est une région située dans le nord-est de l'Afrique du Sud qui désigna successivement, sur une même aire géographique, des territoires, un État indépendant, une colonie puis une province.
La province du Transvaal est l'une des quatre provinces de l'Afrique du Sud entre 1910 et 1994. Occupant la partie nord-est du pays, la province du Transvaal succède géographiquement à la république sud-africaine du Transvaal et à la colonie du Transvaal. Sa capitale est Pretoria.

The Transvaal Colony (Afrikaans pronunciation: [ˈtransfɑːl]) was the name used to refer to the Transvaal region during the period of direct British rule and military occupation between the end of the Second Boer War in 1902 when the South African Republic was dissolved, and the establishment of the Union of South Africa in 1910.
