That's a double edged sword, because while it suggests he's a changed man, he also shows his true personality of a remorseless killer. "If I could fake tears, I would, but I cant". Yup.

James Earl Jones played the most iconic character without questions, but Keith David's larger body of work, especially in the video games industry, makes him much more familiar to me. I agree with your second point. I'd say that while James Earl Jones is more Iconic, Keith David is more Recognizable.

Or.. something.. cuz the dimples, the cleft chin, the smiles, the widow's peak, eyes, nose, mole, height, build, jaw shape, head shape.. it's unreal how much they look alike. Holy moly.

It will sound weird for a while, and frankly Zavala’s writing kind of all over the place with some pretty iffy tonal shifts, so it’s a double whammy of a guy who doesn’t sound quite right voicing a character who doesn’t sound quite right.
I loved that, too. I think she was kind of his in to David’s family at a time when David himself wasn’t really letting Keith into his life. In this conversation she showed that she was comfortable with him and with his homosexuality, and later when she gets into legal trouble she puts all her trust in him which took David much longer to do ...
I think we all can agree Keith David is great I have no doubt he'll do wonderful in this role too. With that being said it's really weird since he's the only character so far whose voice isn't even remotely similar Husk used to have a gruff voice and we all mostly picture him with that same gruffness, but Keith David isn't that his voice is so damn smooth someone you'd expect to be suave or ...
