Inspired by the silkworm’s ability to generate a three-dimensional cocoon out of a single silk thread, Silk Pavilion I was developed in 2013 and took form as a three-meter wide dome, constructed over three weeks with a flock of 6,500 live silkworms assisted by a robotic arm.
28 févr. 2022 · Over time her projects have gotten larger in scale, more ambitious, and have ceded more control to the organisms with which she works—bees, silkworms, fungus, and bioengineered bacteria. Now Neri is working on the scale of the city.

It’s late February, and Oxman, a tenured professor at the school who wears a black top, black velvet pants, and high black patent leather stiletto, is nearly seven months pregnant.
